Company history

… we eagerly await what 2024 will bring. Our company will then be 30 years old and we hope that our customers will continue to have confidence in us, as they always have, and that we will gain new customers.

We look forward to the great interest and the many visitors from all over the world at LIGNA 2023 in Hanover. We had exciting discussions with both prospective and satisfied customers.

Further modernization of the production hall provided more space for us to optimally match our equipment and technology to our customers' needs.

In the fall of 2018, the company moves into new and modern premises with a new, large dedicated assembly shop and enough space for the employees, in Rellingen near Hamburg, directly at expressway junction 7 and 23, Halstenbek Krupunder exit.

At the start of the year, Jörn Döscher again takes over management of the company.

On January 1, 2015, the companies Döscher & Döscher GmbH and AMS Advanced Microwave Systems GmbH merge to form DÖSCHER MICROWAVE SYSTEMS GMBH.

20 years (1994 – 2014) of experience are a convincing argument!

After the year in which the company was founded 1994, with the company name Döscher & Döscher GmbH, the business continued to expand and now operates worldwide in the field of industrial moisture measurement. In close cooperation with AMS Advanced Microwave Systems GmbH, which developed and produced the measuring systems before the merger in 2014, the applications for this technology are constantly expanded.

With more than a little pride, we can claim that our high product quality, precision, and strategy have proven successful. We are thankful for the trust placed in us by our customers of many years, who appreciate the special service we provide.

Based on the experience gained, a program for measuring systems was developed in 2001, in cooperation with the Chair of Microwave Engineering at the CAU in Kiel. This system encompasses both moisture measurement and equipment for density measurement. The 2-PMR technology (2-parameter microwave resonance technology) developed is the current state of the art.

Döscher & Döscher has grown constantly ever since. Together with AMS Advanced Microwave Systems GmbH, which develops and produces microwave-based the measuring systems, the applications for this technology are constantly expanded. AMS GmbH is a joint venture of the Döscher Bros. and Prof. Dr. Knöchel (director of the Institute of Microwave Engineering at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität in Kiel).

In the team of specialists from AMS, the possibility of exact determination of the moisture based on microwaves is further developed and meets both the requirements of customers and is technologically state of the art in research.

For example, since the company has existed, not only measuring systems for moisture measurement in production and in the laboratory, but also special variants (e.g. for high temperatures) and individual solutions for various industries (e.g. pharmaceuticals, wood, animal feed) have been added.

Döscher takes pride in providing competent and personal advice. We are also represented worldwide through sales partners, who are committed to providing this expert service. We find individual solutions for our customers and provide professional help with out-of-the-ordinary problems.

Döscher & Döscher has operated in the field of industrial moisture measurement since 1994. In the first 7 years, we represented the moisture measuring systems of other manufacturers as a consulting and engineering company and integrated these systems into the production plants of our customers.
